It might indeed make a good thread, though I don't think the debate is that complex with the current card pool. Until the past couple of weeks I almost exclusively played fast advance Weyland with Scorched Earth on the side. I love the archetype, I think it's fantastically enjoyable to churn up the points while the runner sweats bullets about every single move they make. I agree that it's entirely possible to win as Weyland without going all in for tag-n-bag. I do not, however, agree that Weyland is as strong as other factions when Decoy takes that threat off the table. Weyland's biggest (though not quite only) advantage is the ability to threaten the kill with almost zero opportunity cost.Weyland has other strengths, but none so exclusive as Scorched Earth access. Plenty of other factions can run Archer (indeed, every faction runs it in my meta) as an affordable 2x splash without putting up with Weyland's problems. The issue is that Weyland's weak identity ability makes for reliance on in-faction cards to make the faction worthwhile. Sadly a big part of that is Scorched Earth, which is metaed hard by Decoy (at least in Weyland). The awesome early advantage from Hostile Takeover is offset by the way even a couple of bad publicity points will simply destroy Weyland in the late game. If people are running Decoy, I don't see any situation where Weyland is better than HB or NBN.
